Kathmandu. Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel inaugurated the 'Chief of Army Trophy-2083' sports competition organized at the Lagankhel sports ground on Monday. The Chief of Army Trophy was started in the year 2065 BS with the intention of identifying talented players within the Nepali Army, developing their skills, and preparing national and international level players. The competition, which includes eight disciplines namely athletics, swimming, boxing, taekwondo, volleyball, basketball, football, and judo, has 14 teams from garrisons and divisions participating.
