The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has requested the use of alternative routes for travel in the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Tanahu. The authority issued a notice on Monday making this request. 'In such an emergency situation, helicopters are to be used only for essential search, rescue, and relief material transport, and as alternative routes are gradually opening, those who do not require essential helicopter rescue are requested to use those alternative road routes,' the authority said.
