KATHMANDU, July 28: United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs, Donald Lu, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Lu will be arriving in Kathmandu this evening, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Lu’s visit comes at the time when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit has been canceled and the country refused to be a part of the State Partnership Program (SPP) of the USA. During his visit, Lu will be holding high level meetings.
Secretary Lu had earlier visited Nepal before the endorsement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal-Compact of the USA.
