PM Deuba, UML Chair Oli hold meeting

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: A meeting between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of the main opposition party, CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli took place at the latter's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Saturday morning.  PM Deuba reached the residence of chair Oli at around 10:30 AM.  It is said that the one-on-one talk between the two leaders focused on issues including ending the ongoing parliament deadlock Prime Minister Deuab reached the Oli residence in Balkot after the UML remained absent in an all-party meeting called earlier by PM Deuba to discuss ways out to end the parliament obstruction.  Earlier, NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel, also coordinator of the high-level mechanism formed to help run the incumbent government, reached leader Oli residence in Balkot and held a discussion with him.  The UML has been continuously obstructing the parliament session putting forth various demands.
