Rai elected PP leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Province 1

KATHMANDU, September 13: Rajendra Rai has been elected the parliamentary party (PP) leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Province 1. A parliamentary party meeting held today elected Rai as a parliamentary party leader in the Province. “Rajendra Rai has been elected the parliamentary party leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Province 1,” said Rajan Rai, a member of the Provincial Assembly of the party. Similarly, Bhim Acharya, the newly appointed chief minister of the province has lost his majority and he is scheduled to take a trust vote by September 25. There are currently 92 members in the Provincial Assembly. Of them, 41 are of CPN (UML) including the Speaker, 15 of CPN (Maoist Center), 10 of CPN (Unified Socialist), three of Janata Samajbadi Party and one each of RPP and Sanghiya Loktantrik Manch.
