Kathmandu: Balen Shah ahead of Keshav Sthapit by over 5,800 votes (Updated)
KATHMANDU, May 17: Independent candidate Balen Shah is leading the mayoral race of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by a margin of over 5,800 votes against his closest rival Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML.
KATHMANDU, May 23: Balen Shah, independent mayoral candidate for Kathmandu metropolis, is continuously leading the vote count.
As of Monday afternoon, Shah has garnered 43,757 votes while his nearest contender of Nepali Congress, Srijana Singh has secured 25,680 votes.
Likewise, Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML is in third position with 24,578 votes.
Sunita Dangol, deputy mayoral candidate of UML garnered 44,705 votes maintaining a lead while her nearest contender Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) has collected 15,570 votes.
KATHMANDU, May 20: At the time when the Balen Shah, independent mayoral candidate for Kathmandu metropolis, has been leading the vote count, Srijana Singh, mayoral candidate of Nepali Congress has over taken Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML for the second position.
As per the latest data revealed by the Election Commission, Balen Shah has collected 32,978 votes maintaining his lead. His nearest contender, Srijana Singh has garnered 17,702 votes followed by Keshav Sthapit with 17,678 votes.
Sunita Dangol, deputy mayoral candidate of UML garnered 31,111 votes maintaining a lead of 21,000 votes. Dangol is leading the race for deputy mayor with 32,615 votes while her nearest contender Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) has collected 11,273 votes.
KATHMANDU, May 20: Balen Shah, independent mayoral candidate for Kathmandu metropolis, is currently leading the vote count.
As per the latest data revealed by the Election Commission, Shah has secured 27,134 votes which is 12,571 votes more than his nearest contender.
Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML is in second position with 14,563 votes followed by Srijana Singh of Nepali Congress with 14,074 votes.
Sunita Dangol, deputy mayoral candidate of UML garnered 26,852 votes followed by Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) with 9,316 votes.
KATHMANDU, May 14: Independent candidate for the post of mayor Balen Shah is currently leading the vote count in Kathmandu metropolis.
Shah has so far garnered 52 votes followed by Keshav Sthapit, UML candidate and Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate, with 41.
Votes casted in ward 1 and 32 of Kathmandu metropolis are currently being counted.
KATHMANDU, May 16: Balen Shah, an independent candidate for the post of the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of 5 PM, Monday.
Balne is leading the vote count with 7,534 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 3,982 votes.
Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 3,486 votes.

As of Monday noon, Balne was leading the vote count with 6,016 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 3,141 votes.
Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 2,781 votes.
Sunita Dangol, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has garnered 5,173 votes while her nearest contender Rameshwar Shrestha, CPN (Unified Socialist)’s candidate has collected 1,690 votes.

Balne is leading the vote count with 1,575 votes. His nearest contender was Keshav Sthapit who garnered 985 votes.
Likewise, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post has collected 825 votes.
Similarly, candidates of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) got 191 votes and Bibeksheel Sajha Party collected 23 votes.
KATHMANDU, May 14: Balen Shah, an independent candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has taken the lead in the vote count in Kathmandu metropolis.
So far, Shah has garnered 297 votes, Srijana Singh, Nepali Congress’s candidate , collected147 and Keshav Sthapit, candidate of CPN-UML, got 192 votes.
