Spotify kills Car View, says it’s ‘exploring’ new in-car experiences

Spotify's Car View function, which was launched to the music streaming service's Android and iOS apps in 2019, is being retired. When driving, Spotify users could utilize the Car View feature to swiftly navigate through fast settings and manage music playback, eliminating engagement with the app when their hands were intended to be on the wheel. The removal of the popular function was verified recently, according to The Verge, when a Spotify moderator was observed replying to a query on the Spotify community website. "We can confirm that the automobile view functionality is being phased off."
