Raju Shrestha, aged 31, of Chitwan Rapti Municipality, Lalpur, who cheated 7 lakh rupees by saying that he would send to Cambodia for foreign employment, has been arrested.
KATHMANDU, July 23: Police here have arrested three persons on the charge of cheating Rs 749 thousand 500. The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested them on the charge of swindling different persons promising to send them to USA.
The arrested were 24-year-old Binod Bhusal of Kapilvastu, 31-year-old Pukar Gurung and 30-year-old Prakash Gurung of Kaski.
They have cheated people in the name of sending them to USA on working visa.
According to bureau spokesperson SP Shyam Kumar Mahato, the victims were contacted through Bhusal by Divya Rana, currently living in the USA. It is stated that Bhusal had managed the process to send them to USA for working in agriculture farm of Rana.
Bhusal was found preparing fake documents of the US embassy. It may be noted that Bhusal was arrested on the charge of taking Rs 2.5 million in the release of a person jailed in USA.
