UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix has warned of the increasing threat posed by landmines and explosive devices due to ongoing conflicts in regions including Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan.Speaking in Geneva, he stated that on average, one person is killed by landmines every day, noting that the victims are often children.
