Maoist Chair Prachanda’s political document passed

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: The ongoing Eight General Convention’s closed-door session of CPN (Maoist Center) has endorsed the political and ideological document presented by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.  The document was passed through the closed session shortly after Chair Prachanda responded to the questions raised from among the delegates, on Friday.  The delegates, divided into 25 groups, held panel-wise deliberations from Tuesday to Wednesday. Leaders trio Ram Karki, Lekhnath Neupane and Haribol Gajurel had presented the supplementary note and note of dissent.   While addressing the delegates on Friday, Prachanda said that the aspirations of all the representatives would be incorporated in the document.  Prachanda tabled the document entitled “Nepal’s Road to Socialism in the 21st Century” on Monday. Meanwhile, Dev Gurung, a Standing Committee member presented the party's statute draft on Monday itself.
