MARTADI, July 11: The Sanfe-Martadi highway has been obstructed again due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. The highway had just open a few days ago after being obstructed.
Landslides have taken place in Balde, Omkot, Dwari and Olena of the highway. Efforts to clear the road have been hampered by continuous rainfall, said Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Bajura Dhandev Saud.
The highway has been regularly affected by landslides since the beginning of the monsoon this year. Rainfall has been taking place here heavily since Friday.
Traffic in the highway has been obstructed this morning, and we are working to remove the debris using an excavator and resume traffic, Chief District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari said.
