Art exhibition of eight Nepali artists begins in Lucknow

An art exhibition of eight Nepali artists began at the Kala Srot Art Gallery in Aliganj, Lucknow, India, on Tuesday Inaugurating the exhibition titled ‘Mountain Shadow’, renowned Indian artist Prof. Jai Krishan Agrawal said that Nepal-India relations are linked by art and culture. He expressed the view that Nepali art has a socio-cultural theme along with the original tradition.

International Open Online Art Competition cum Expo begins in Pokhara

GANDAKI, September 22: International Open Online Art Competition and Exhibition-2078 kicked off from Tuesday under the slogan 'Artists for Artists'. The competition cum expo has been organised by Nagen News Publication Pvt Ltd.  Inaugurating the Competition and Expo through digital technology, Minister for Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Supply of Gandaki Province, Manibhadra Sharma Kandel, expressed the belief that the international competition cum expo would be an opportunity for the artists even in the risk of coronavirus infection.  Bimala Bhandari, Kaski President of Federation of Nepali Journalists, said that it is a matter of pride to begin such competition cum expo from Pokhara, adding journalists should put art in priority.  Similarly, Chairperson of the Publication, Jyoti Hamal, added that the competition cum expo has been organised with an objective of prosperity, development and promotion of art and artists. Out of the money collected after selling paintings in the expo, 70 per cent would be separated to artists, shared Hamal. The paintings made by 160 artists of 15 countries, two non-competitors and five judges would be kept in expo at www.nagenart.com till a month.
