Demolition of unauthorized structures begins at Manohara riverbank settlement in Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur. The demolition of unauthorized houses and huts built on the banks of the Manohara River has begun.District Police Range Chief and Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Khadka stated that 1,300 Nepal Police personnel and 600 Armed Police Force personnel from Bhaktapur were deployed early this morning to begin dismantling the structures.According to him, residents were given until 9:00 AM to dismantle their own structures after they initially agreed to do so.
