KATHMANDU: Rubi Khan broke her fast-unto-death on Tuesday afternoon. Khan, who was on a hunger strike for the past 11 days, agreed to end the strike after the government committed to fulfilling her demands.  She has demanded that the government launch a  fair investigation and take stern action against the perpetrators of the death case of Nankunni Dhobi and another missing case of Nirmala Kurmi of Banke.  Following the agreement, the officials at the Home Ministry including Secretary Phanindra Mani Pokharel and human rights activist Mohna Ansari reached the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) to get her to break the strike. The government will now form a probe committee to investigate the cases.
