CHITWAN, May 4: A total of 220 rhinos died in Chitwan National Park (CNP) and vicinity in eight years. The CNP shared that among the casualties, 64 rhinos died of aging and falling off cliff; and 19 died in morass and floods.
CHITWAN, July 23: A male rhino was found dead around Dhudhaura area in the Chitwan National Park on Thursday. The national park's officials said that the rhino was of around 25-30 years.
Information Officer of National Park Lokendra Adhikari said that the rhino could have died in a brawl between the two male rhinos.
Adhikari said that rhino's horn and hoof are kept safely. With this, three male rhinos died in Chitwan National Park in the Fiscal Year 2078/079.
