Farmers in Banke district have suffered losses due to unseasonal rainfall, which has damaged paddy crops cut and laid in fields for drying. The rains, which struck unexpectedly on Monday evening, have soaked harvested crops, leaving the farmers distressed.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development says the unseasonal rainfall that Nepal faced for a few days early this week caused a loss of Rs 7.22 billion to farmers across the country.
