Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Nain Singh Mahar has accused the government's recent activities of moving towards democratic values, constitutional dignity, and the rule of law.Speaking at a discussion on 'Rule of Law in Democracy' organized by the School of Democracy in Kathmandu, Mahar commented that the mandate of the property investigation commission formed by the government appeared to be prejudiced and selective. He expressed suspicion that the commission was being used as a tool to 'fix' individuals, political forces, or critics who might disagree with the government, rather than as a means for impartial investigation.
