Sri Lanka says all steps taken to prevent entry of Omicron variant
The Sri Lankan government on Monday said that it has taken all necessary measures in preventing entry of the newly found Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus as many countries were closing their borders for arrivals.
Even as several South Asian countries, including India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Bangladesh are rushing to complete their vaccination targets and finalising booster shot strategies in the wake of rapid spread of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the Nepal government seems to be floundering in the dark.
