RPP Nepal to contest in local polls using UML’s election symbol

KATHMANDU, April 13: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nepal have agreed that the RPP Nepal will contest in local polls using UML’s election symbol. The two parties have also maintained that if those RPP leaders contesting using UML’s election symbol win the election, they will still be in the RPP Nepal. The two parties will also forge an election alliance in upcoming local elections scheduled on May 10. Registration of candidacy for local polls on April 24, 25

KATHMANDU, March 18: The registration of candidacy for the upcoming local level elections has been scheduled for April 24 and 25. "As per the election program of the commission, registration of candidacy will take place on April 24 and 25," said an official at the election commission. The name list of the candidates will be published on April 28. Those willing to withdraw their candidacy can do so from 5 pm to 6 pm on April 29. The election symbol will be distributed on April 30, according to the commission.
