Farmers in Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-5, Khawa of Bhojpur are increasingly attracted to commercial orange farming.As traditional food crops yield limited income, farmers have started adopting orange farming as an alternative and sustainable source of income. Orange farming, which was limited to general household use until a few years ago, is now expanding commercially. Many farmers in the village have expanded their orange orchards by systematically utilizing their खाली (empty) and underutilized land.Local farmers appear enthusiastic about orange farming. Farmer Chandalkumar Rai said that commercial orange farming can yield better income compared to other crops.
