KATHMANDU, June 12: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balen Shah has maintained that power lines in the metropolis will go underground within one and a half year.
Mayor Shah in an executive committee meeting of the metropolis held on Sunday said that the Nepal Electric Authority has committed to put the power lines underground in the metropolis by next 18 months.
Likewise, the metropolis will collaborate with authorities regarding the extension of drainage, roads and drinking water pipelines in the metropolis.
Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu, met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
