According to SP Krishna Koirala, the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the arrested people were found involved in online betting over the ongoing World Cup tournament and the investigation is underway.
It has been learnt that Sunil Chauguthi, one of the arrestees, has been found making transactions of around Rs 30 million rupees.
The final game of the World Cup is scheduled for 8:45 pm on Sunday.
