Now pay fines for violating traffic rules by scanning QR-code

KATHMANDU, September 2: Have you ever found it time-consuming and faced various hassles in paying fines for violating traffic rules in the Kathmandu Valley? Problems in the process have ended here as now traffic violators can pay fines by scanning QR-code.  The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has installed software through which traffic violators can pay fines by scanning QR-code through their mobile phones, said Senior Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai.  The Division has launched the software amid a function here today. Traffic violators are handed a chit with QR-code on the spot and they can pay fines by scanning the QR-code, he said.  Traffic violators can collect their traffic documents taken by traffic police on the spot from traffic police offices at areas of their convenience, said the Division.
