INARUWA, May 28: Broadcasting Association of Nepal (BAN) president Chandra Neupane has passed away on Friday morning. He was 50. Neupane died of COVID-19 at Birat Medical College where he was undergoing treatment, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Sunsari president Janak Rishi Rai said.
He was admitted to the Birat Medical College after coronavirus infection was confirmed in him on May 11. He was kept on ventilator after his health condition became serious.
Neupane was the Station Manager of Saptakoshi FM in Itahari. He was also the member of the Advertising Board.
