Mountain museum a live example of mountain, mountain life
Chief of Gandaki Province Prithviman Gurung has said that International Mountain Museum is the live example of mountain, and mountain life and culture.
"The government is committed to taking a leading role in accelerating the flow of climate finance and coping up with climate change implications in the mountain life," he said while responding to related concerns raised in the National Assembly (NA) meeting today.
The International Mountain Museum in Pokhara is one of the man-made heritages that entice tourists. Tourists from 98 countries visited the museum in the last fiscal year to study mountain, mountaineering and mountain life.

GANDAKI, September 17: Chief of Gandaki Province Prithviman Gurung has said that International Mountain Museum is the live example of mountain, and mountain life and culture.
In an onsite visit of the International Mountain Museum managed by Nepal Mountaineering Association in Pokhara Metropolitan City-17, the Province Chief stressed for running the museum by making it well managed.
Likewise, Gurung said that the museum should be developed as a popular tourism destination through publicity campaigns of the museum.
The museum was reopened for the visitors last week after its closure for more than four months due to spread of coronavirus infection.
Currently, around 70 domestic and international persons visit the museum for study and inspection, Sarita Kandel, an official from the museum said.
