2,029 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 29 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. This has resulted in the state treasury collecting revenue of Rs 417,000.According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 59 individuals were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 119 for illegal 'ride-sharing', 132 for violating traffic signals, and 208 for speeding.Similarly, 57 were penalized for not adhering to 'lane' discipline, 94 for honking in prohibited areas, 95 for parking vehicles on sidewalks, 126 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 139 for not following other traffic rules. ...
