Nepal to Officially Participate in 79th Cannes Film Festival

Kathmandu. Nepal is set to formally participate in the 79th Cannes Film Festival, one of the world's most prestigious film festivals. The Film Development Board announced that it will officially participate in the festival with the objective of promoting Nepali cinema internationally, expanding collaborations, and increasing access to the global market.The Film Development Board is participating in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board in the festival, which will be held in Cannes, France, from May 12 to 23 (2026).
