Army performs monsoon disaster rescue drill

Nepali Army has performed pre-exercise for monsoon preparedness and rescue operation in the Kamala River of Karjanha Municipality-2 of Siraha district in Madhes Province with a purpose to reduce the risk of flood during the monsoon. In the presence of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, the trained manpower of the Nepali Army performed the monsoon rescue and operation drill in the river. CM Raut inaugurated the three-day Province-Level Integrated Disaster Management Exercise named ‘Exercise Hatemalo’ on Saturday amid a function.

Monsoon may affect 2M people, over 14,000 personnel ready for disaster response

Three security bodies – Nepal Police, Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal and Nepali Army – have said that they have completed their respective tasks of the action plan and preparation for monsoon preparedness and response for this year.
