KATHMANDU, April 6: Forbes, an American business magazine, has listed Nepali entrepreneur and businessman Binod Chaudhary as the only billionaire in South Asia except for India.
Chaudhary is the only billionaire in South Asia who is not from India. No businessmen or entrepreneurs in South Asian countries – Bhutan, Pakistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan – have been able to be in the Fobes list of billionaires except Nepal and India.
According to Fobes, Chaudhary’s income has also increased by 100 million dollars and reached a networth of 1.5 billion dollars this year. Chaudahry’s income was 1.4 billion dollars last year.
Likewise, India ranks third among the countries with the highest number of billionaires in the world. There are as many as 166 billionaires in India.
China, being in second position, has 539 billionaires.
The United States of America (USA), being the country with the highest number of billionaires, has 735 billionaires.
Elon Musk has topped the Fobes list of billionaires with networth of 209.3 billion dollar.
