Hearing of Oli’s writ petition against Speaker Sapkota, EC today

KATHMANDU, September 13: The hearing of writ petition filed by the Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli against the Speaker of the lower house Agni Sapkota and the Election Commission (EC) is scheduled for Monday. The hearing will be conducted by a joint-bench of senior Justice Deep Kumar Karki and Justice Meera Khadka. Earlier, Oli had filed a writ petition against the poll body  and Speaker Sapkota stating that the commission granted authentication to 14 lawmakers against whom the party had taken action and the Speaker refused to sack those lawmakers. The writ petition demands to scrap the poll body’s decision and remove those 14 lawmakers from their post.
