KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has been re-elected the chairman of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center).
The first meeting of the newly-elected central working committee held on Monday afternoon unanimously elected Prachanda as the party chairman for the next five years.
Leader Naryan Kaji Shrestha proposed Prachanda’s continuity as the chairman which was approved by the central working committee members.
The committee is scheduled to pick other office bearers through Monday’s meeting itself.

Chair Prachanda proposed the names of 236 members under various clusters in the ongoing closed-door session on Sunday.
Of the 299 members, 63 others will be nominated later.
The list of CWC will be endorsed once the closed-door session passes Prachanda’s proposal.
