KATHMANDU, March 13: The government has decided to resume issuing work permits for those willing to go to Malaysia for employment.
The government had halted issuing work permits for Malaysia for the past two years.
In 2020, Malaysia had decided to close borders for foreign nationals due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, the country has begun allowing foreign nationals to travel to the country for employment recently.
Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security maintained that a ministerial level decision has been taken to grant work permits for Malaysia.
