Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, is leaving after overseeing the launch of new ways to create content through newsletters or audio conversations while simultaneously serving as CEO of his payments processing company Square.
The departures come after billionaire Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the company last week, followed by his firing of CEO Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, and legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde.

April 30: Twitter (TWTR.N) Chief Executive Parag Agrawal sought to quell employee anger on Friday during a company-wide meeting where employees demanded answers to how managers planned to handle an anticipated mass exodus prompted by Elon Musk.
Twitter has accepted Elon Musk's offer to buy the firm for $44 billion, according to a press release issued today by the company. Musk paid $54.20 per share for the firm, which was the same amount he offered on April 14th.
