Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that Nepal has expected support from the international community to mitigate the impacts of climate change adding that Nepal has suffered from the climate change impacts.
Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has urged the global research institutions to do research on climate change impacts on Nepal's mountain region; its vulnerability and carry out the risk assessment.
Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Roshan Pokharel, has pointed out the need of carrying out result-oriented activities to lessen climate change impacts.
