Superman Zipline launched in Pokhara

GANDAKI, October 19: Pokhara, one of the major touristic hubs in the country, offers various services of adventure tourism and Zipline is among them. Tourism entrepreneurs here seem effortful for extending the duration of stay of visitors through the different activities of amusement. Lately, ‘Superman Zipline service’ has been launched here to make the trip memorable. The High Ground Adventure Pvt Ltd has launched the service in association with the Zipflyer, the US brand company in the zip line. According to company Chief Operating Officer Dinesh Maharjan said the service is based in the world's most slope gradient. The company is credited for launching the zipline for the first time in Nepal in 2010 and now has come with the superman zipline to add additional flavor in the trip. Superman zip line is different from the classical one as it is done in a superman position The upper station of the service is based in Sarangkot at the height of 1550 meters above the sea level and the lower station is at Hemja and the distance of vertical drop between the two stations is 600 meters. No zipline in the world has the vertical drop like of our service and we will soon proceed towards registering it the ‘Guinness Book of World Records,’ he said. People in 35-120 kilos of weight and above 12 years of age are allowed to enjoy the service. The fee for the service is 6,500 for a Nepali citizen and Rs 8,500 for a foreigner.
