A meeting of ruling alliance is scheduled for Tuesday. A meeting of top leaders of the ruling alliance parties held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today agreed to summon the meeting of the ruling alliance on Tuesday at 4pm, said Manahari Timilsina, Press Expert of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
The ruling alliance parties including the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have held discussions regarding the government expansion.
Cabinet expansion likely this evening
KATHMANDU, October 7: The ruling alliance is currently preparing to hold a meeting to make a final decision regarding the expansion of the Cabinet.
The ruling alliance has already reached an agreement on the distribution of ministerial berths and the Cabinet is expected to get its full shape any time soon.
The ruling alliance comprises the ruling Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha Party.
A preparation is underway to hold a meeting of the ruling alliance but the schedule has not been decided yet, a source at Baluwatar told Ratopati. “The cabinet is likely to be expanded this evening.”
The ruling Nepali Congress will get seven ministries, CPN (Maoist Center) will get six and CPN (UML) and JSP will get four ministries each.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 AM this morning and discuss cabinet expansion and the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) of the United States of America, according to the PM's secretariat.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has failed to give a full shape to the cabinet even after almost two months of his appointment.
The ruling parties seem divided as the MCC awaits ratification from parliament while the main opposition party CPN (UML) has been obstructing the federal parliament session time and again.
