KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The government of Nepal has reduced the quarantine period for people testing positive for the novel coronavirus disease to five days.
Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, all the three District Administration Offices (DAOs) in the Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, have made it mandatory for those testing positive for COVID-19 to self-isolate themselves for five days.
Besides, the government has also made it mandatory for those people travelling from abroad and contacts of COVID-19 patients to self-isolate themselves for five days even if they test negative for COVID-19 tests.
Besides, COVID-19 vaccination card has been made mandatory in public places from January 21and gathering of more than 25 people at public places have been restricted.
