मर्जरका कारण बीमा क्षेत्रका ३२८ कर्मचारीको गुम्यो जागिर, ११४ कार्यालय बन्द

काठमाडौं । बीमा कम्पनी (Insurance Company) हरू मर्जर (merger)मा जान थालेको एक वर्षमा त्यस क्षेत्रका ३२८ कर्मचारीहरूले रोजगारी (Employment) गुमाएको नेपाल बीमा प्राधिकरण (Nepal Insurance Authority) ले जनाएको छ । बीमा प्राधिकरणका अनुसार २०७८ फागुनदेखि २०७९ फागुनसम्म १२ ओटा बीमा कम्पनीहरू मर्ज भएर ६ ओटा भएका छन् । यस अवधिमा जीवन बीमा (Life Insurance) तर्फ चारओटा कम्पनीहरू मर्ज भएर दुईओटा भएका छन् भने निर्जीवन बीमा (Non-life Insurance) तर्फका आठओटा कम्पनीहरू मर्ज भएर चारओटा भएका छन् । प्राधिकरणका अनुसार २०७८ फागुन मसान्तसम्ममा बीमा क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत कर्मचारीहरूको संख्या ११ हजार ८५२ रहेको थियो । एक वर्षको अवधिमा नै कर्मचारीको संख्या २।७७ प्रतिशतले घटेको हो । प्राधिकरणका अनुसार हाल बीमा क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत कर्मचारीहरूको संख्या ११ हजार ५२४ छ । यस्तै मर्जरका कारण बीमा कम्पनीका ११४ ओटा कार्यालयहरू बन्द भएका छन् । प्राधिकरणका अनुसार २०७८ फागुन मसान्तसम्ममा बीमा कम्पनीहरूको कार्यालय संख्या ३ हजार ३२९ थियो । २०७९ फागुनसम्ममा यो संख्या ३.४२ प्रतिशतले घटेर ३ हजार २१५ कायम भएको छ । अजोड इन्स्योरेन्स (Ajod Insurance)का प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत (CEO) कुमार बहादुर खत्री एक ठाउँमा एकभन्दा बढी शाखा कार्यालय भएका बीमा कम्पनीहरूलाई कार्यालय बन्द गर्नुपर्ने अवस्था आएको बताउँछन् । 'त्यसका साथै बीमकहरूलाई कर्मचारी कटौती गर्नुपर्ने बाध्यात्मक अवस्था छ,' उनले भने । पछिल्लो समय आर्थिक मन्दीका कारण अर्थतन्त्र (Economy) पनि ठप्प छ । यसकै असर जीवन र निर्जीवन बीमा कम्पनीहरूलाई परेको उनको भनाइ छ । 'बीमा कम्पनीहरूको व्यापार घट्दो क्रममा रहेकाले पनि केहीले कर्मचारी कटौती गरेको देखिन्छ,’ उनले भने ।
