The Karnali highway has been blocked due to a landslide. The highway remains blocked since last night after the landslide in Ranchuli, Molfa and Furke of Kalikot district under the Surkhet-Jumla road section of the highway.
Surkhet, September 26 — The Karnali Highway has been closed since last night due to landslides caused by heavy rain. The road was blocked when a landslide occurred at the Gagane river in Shubhakalika Rural Municipality, Kalikot.
According to the District Traffic Police Office in Kalikot, no vehicles have been able to operate on the highway.
Police reported that multiple landslides have affected various locations along the Kalikot section of the Karnali Highway.
