KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Voting for the election of National Assembly members has concluded in Karnali Province.
According to Durga Prasad Chalise, election officer, of 191 voters 189 cast their votes during the election including 34 of 35 provincial assembly members and 155 of 156 peoples representatives.
“The vote count will begin by 4 PM and results will be out by 7 PM,” Chalice said.
The election in the province was conducted for three seats from the province in the National Assembly.
The candidates of the ruling alliance and the main opposition party, CPN-UML are vying for the posts.
Durga Kumari Gurung, Nara Bahadur Bista and Udaya Bohora are candidates representing the ruling alliance and Ganga Thapa Mahat, Padam Bahadur Maji and Chudamani Sharma represent the UML.
