Structures removed from Bagmati River banks

The High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilisation (HPCIDBC) has removed all the temporary structures from both sides of the Bagmati River from Gokarna to Guheshwori. The HPCIDBC had issued a seven-day ultimatum to the occupants of the illegal structures on January 29. The committee had given orders to remove all temporary structures and permanent structures.

IN PICS: Milk ‘offered’ in Bagmati River

KATHMANDU, July 26: Pro-Hindu activists have offered milk in the Bagmati River at Pashupatinath.  Influenced by those Hindus in Uttar Pradesh, India, the Pro-Hindu activists in Nepal also offered milk in Pashupati. The issue  of ‘offering’ milk in the river has drawn attention of people from various corners after former Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai, through his social media post, satired the act as ‘milk should not be destroyed in such a way’.  Following Bhattarai's remarks, pro-Hindu  activists became indignant.
