KATHMANDU, May 13: CPN-UML is currently leading the vote count in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.
Of the 145 votes counted so far, Ananta Poudel, UMl’s candidate for the post of mayor, is ahead with 53 votes. His nearest contender was Mina Kumari Lama, candidate of CPN (Unified Socialist) with 51 votes.
Likewise, Rajesh Baniya, candidate of the ruling alliance for the post of deputy mayor has collected 66 votes while his nearest contender Sumitra Kafle, CPN-UML’s candidate, got 62 votes.
Similarly, in Jeetpur Simara sub-metropolis, the candidate of the ruling alliance has taken the lead in the vote count.
Rajan Poudel, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate for the post of mayor and Mega Shahi, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor have garnered 543 votes each.
