Two held with Rs 9.5 million "illegal money" from Nagdhunga

KATHMANDU, September 25: Police have arrested two people and seized Rs 9.5 million from Naghdhunga check-post in Kathmandu. Two people travelling from Chitwan in a Hiace Van (Ga 1 Kha 6645) to Kathmandu were arrested with Rs 9,500,000 illegal money, SP Ashok Singh of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu told Ratopati. The arrestees, Sagar Mali and Krishna Adade of India, were arrested from Nakdunga Checkpoint in Chandragiri Municipality-2. “The amount must be of illegal hundi transactions,” according to SP Singh. “The arrested people have been unable to show the source of the money and the further investigation is underway.”
