Supreme Court objects to news reports claiming CJ Rana’s involvement in Cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has objected to the news reports claiming the involvement of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana in Cabinet expansion.  Issuing a press statement on Monday, the  SC challenged the media outlets to verify the authenticity of the news.  Some media outlets on Sunday and Morningpublish news reports claiming that Dipak Timlilsina was being inducted as a minister to the Sher Bahadur Deuba Cabinet from the ‘CJ quota’.  The statement signed by SC Spokesperson Babu Ram Dahal read that CJ Rana was irrelevantly linked with the Cabinet expansion which is purely a constitutional job of the prime minister.
