FEB 10: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that chances of snowfall are likely today in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces.
The Division said the country now has a slight impact of the westerly wind.
It is said that the weather would remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Province 1, Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province and partly cloudy to mainly fair in the rest of the country this afternoon.

KATHMANDU, October 22: As many as 104 people have died in floods and landslides triggered by unseasonal incessant rainfall since Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, a total of 62 people have died due to the incident in Province 1 only. Likewise, 20 have sustained injuries and 13 have gone missing.
Similarly, one died in Bagmati Province, three in Lumbini Province, seven in Karnali Province and 31 in Sudurpaschim Province. As many as 23 people are still missing in Sudurpaschim Province.
