KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The government has already announced to hold the general elections on November 20 later this year.
Among all other election constituencies, 10 constituencies in Kathmandu usually get special attention during the election.
The ruling Nepali Congress is preparing to field the candidacy of those lawmakers once again who were elected lawmakers in the previous election.
With the decision of forging an electoral alliance by the members of the ruling alliance, the alliance is now set to face off against the main opposition party CPN-UML.
Of the 10 constituencies in Kathmandu, NC is preparing to field its candidacy in eight constituencies, leaving two to the CPN (Unified Socialist).
