Kanti lake lures more tourists in Nepalgunj

NEPALGUNJ, September 24: After its reconstruction, the Kanti lake in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City has received more domestic tourists. The lake spread over 25 bigha of land in ward no. 21 and 22 of the city was recently reconstructed to make it a popular tourist site.   Chairman of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-21 Ranjit Khan said that number of visitors in the lake is in the upward trend after its development though it was a neglected place for years.    The sub-metropolitan city spent almost Rs 105 million in the reconstruction bid of the lake. The city has allocated additional 3.5 million rupees in the current fiscal year too.  Engineer Suraj Sharma of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City said that different structures have been constructed with a long term vision to make the lake a popular tourist destination in the district of Banke.
