SEP 11: Heavy rainfall is likely to take place in some parts with partial to general changes across the country.
According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, light to moderate rainfall would occur with thunder and lightning in some parts of the country. Likewise, there is a chance of heavy rainfall in one-two areas of the Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is predicted in some areas of the mountainous belt of the country and limited areas of remaining provinces in the coming 24 hours, the Department said.
Likewise, one-two areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini province are likely to receive heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning.
KATHMANDU, December 29: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has maintained that there will be gradual improvement in weather conditions across the country from Thursday.
Currently, the country is witnessing drizzle as well as downpour in most of its parts and snowfall in the Hilly and Mountainous region.
The country will experience gradual improvement in the weather condition from tomorrow, according to the division.
Issuing an advisory for the next 24 hours, the division has warned the general public to stay alert as the change in weather has severely affected the flights and transportation and to avoid mountaineering.
Similarly, tonight the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country followed by light to moderate rain at many places of the country with light to moderate snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region.
The monsoon effects would be active across the country from Thursday as the monsoon low-pressure system would gradually shift closer to the Tarai region.
