KATHMANDU, September 22: The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) summoned it’s standing committee (SC) meeting to select leaders to be appointed as Ministers as the ruling government is all set to expand cabinet soon.
The meeting has been called at 3 PM today at the party central office at Parisdanda, according to Ganesh Shah, a standing committee member of the party. “The meeting is likely to pick ministers,” he added.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, backed by CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha Party, has failed to expand cabinet even after 70 days of his appointment.
Meanwhile, PM Deuba has prepared to appoint leader Narayan Khadka in the post of Minister for Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
Nepali Congress, the ruling party, has also called it’s office bearers meeting later this afternoon for the same.
