The United States has changed its immigration policy, and now most Green Card (permanent residency permit) applicants will be required to leave the US and apply from their own countries. According to this new policy announced by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Friday, it will no longer be possible to obtain a Green Card by changing status while staying in the US, except in 'extraordinary circumstances'.
